Cherry blossoms are filled with memories for me.

My grandfather passed away before I started elementary school.

He bought me my school backpack

and walked with me so I wouldn’t get lost.

I wonder how much he looked forward to seeing me wearing that backpack.

On that day, filled with a mix of anxiety and anticipation for a future I hadn’t yet seen, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, as if gently pushing me forward.

That scene is still etched in my memory.

Grandpa,

even after all these years,

I’m still just as bad with directions as ever.

I might take a wrong turn now and then,

but even so, I’m living my life with a smile and full of energy.

Every year, I love seeing the cherry blossoms.

I’ve never seen anything as beautiful as the cherry blossoms from that day.

They really were beautiful, weren’t they?

Actually, I made my dream come true and became a designer.

There are many tough days, but every day brings me even more blessings.

Thank you for always being by my side.

Sometimes, that beauty and those feelings suddenly resurface from the depths of my heart.

That’s why, ever since I launched my brand, I’ve quietly kept hiding cherry blossoms inside my packaging.

I think it’s because I don’t want to forget that spring. Ever since then, I’ve been chasing after that spring. Even now, I continue to create the continuation of that day.

And this year,

I made earrings using cherry blossom-patterned kimono fabric. I wanted to give shape to the memories of that spring.
